Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced experienced craftsman to fit into team environment running as 1st pressman for 40″ 5-color Heidleberg Speedmaster CD102. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications and production schedules. Your expertise will help bring vibrant print advertising, packaging, and promotional materials to life, contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare offset printing presses according to job specifications (paper size, ink color, plate alignment, and registration).
- Mount printing plates, adjust ink and water balance, and calibrate press controls to meet production requirements.
- Perform make-readies, including adjusting feeders, ink fountains, rollers, and blanket cylinders.
- Review job tickets and ensure all specifications are met.
- Adjust ink, water balance, registration, and color throughout press runs.
- Perform quality checks to ensure color accuracy, print quality, and consistency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and print-quality issues during production.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
- Monitor paper, ink, and other consumables to minimize waste.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Collaborate with prepress, bindery, and production staff to meet deadlines.
- Accurately complete production and maintenance records.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience running similar equipment
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with Heidelberg, Komori, Ryobi, Mitsubishi, or similar offset presses.
- Strong understanding of color management, registration, and print quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with UV, aqueous coating, or specialty printing processes.
- Knowledge of basic press maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
